Orchard Ridge Homes is the lowrise residential building division of The Sorbara Group, an umbrella organization of real estate-related companies whose interests include development, investment and management. In the 1960's and 70's, The Sorbara Group was one of the country's pioneering forces in industrial condominium building. Today the Group's management portfolio includes over one million square feet of office and commercial space, as well as more than 1,500 residential apartment and townhome units.

That success has been equalled if not exceeded in the new home industry over the past decade. Development examples include The Village of Brooklin, a 400-acre Whitby community which won numerous Home Builders' Association awards, and Sherwood Village, in the City of Vaughan, which won the Alternate Development Standards Award sponsored by the Province of Ontario.

In addition, the firm has earned recognition with its restoration of the Dominion Brewery and the conversion of the Brewery Lofts building, side-by-side landmarks in the heart of downtown Toronto. They are currently working on Broadview Lofts, another loft conversion project in the same neighbourhood.
